What we teach and believe concerning…

The Bible

1. It is the verbally inspired, plenary Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
2. It is our final authority for everything we do (Col. 3:17).
3. It is impossible for God to lie (Titus 1:2) so every word has to be true.
4. We strive to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where it is silent.
5. We call things by Bible names and do all things in Bible ways.
6. Authority from God’s Word comes through…

a. Direct command.
b. Approved example.
c. Implication.

Salvation

1. One must be of an age of accountability, to know right from wrong and discern between good and evil.
2. One must hear the Word of God because “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom. 10:17).
3. One must have faith in the only begotten Son of God and that faith must move one to diligently seek the one true and living God (Heb. 11:6).
4. One must be willing to repent from sin and turn to serve God (Acts 17:30).
5. One must confess Christ with their words and their lives (Rom. 10:17).
6. One must be baptized (immersed/buried) for the remission of sins in order to be saved and then added to the body (church) of Christ (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Pet. 3:21; Col. 1:13).

Worship

1. We engage in congregational a cappella singing as did the 1st Century church and as is commanded in the Bible.
2. We pray.
3. We have a sermon. At the end of which we offer an invitation for those who need to obey the gospel in baptism, ask for forgiveness or place membership.
4. We take up a collection on the first day of every week.
5. We partake of communion (Lord’s Supper) on the first day of each week.
